Mountain State Cut Short in Tourney

Mountain State's Trip Cut Short
Mountian State Univertsity Cougars trip to another NAIA Div. I national championship was cut short in the second round. Olivet Nazarene defeated MSU 79-65 on day 2 of the tourney. MSU finished the season at 29-3. A great record but not quite good enough. This little know team from Beckley should make the state just as proud as WVU did.

2nd Straight Sweet Sixteen

2nd Straight Sweet Sixteen
WVU's run at the Final Four came up a bit short but the Mountianeers did achieve something that had not been done since the day of Jerry West. 2 consecutive trips to the sweet sixteen. What a road for these seniors, they really put WVU basketball back on the map.
Now if they can only find some rebounding they would be blowing people out. Thanks goes though to Pittsnogle, Ganset, Herber, Collins and Beilein for making the state proud with their play on the court and there walk off of it. They have had as big as impact on the community as any senior class at WVU.
Yeah, I know too that Ohio State went down in the tourney but I was trying to keep that to myself!
