HERBERT HOOVER HIGH BASKETBALL

Just have a quick rant about the state of basketball at HHHS. The Huskies do have a winning record so far this year. But what does it say about the state of high school sports in the state when the coach of the team has not even come close to having a winning season. (9-14 last year was his best season) In fact Hoover has not had a .500 season since 1970. 1970 that was a long time ago! What does it say when you don't have to win to be the coach. Now I know there has been some good players come through the school. This year Grant Buckner for example. But some coaches need to learn to use the whole team not just one player. I guess this is what happens when the school regulations allows for school employees to get coaching vacancies before qualified coaches, no matter how it affects the kids.

Don't believe me just look at the girls team at Hoover. Their new coach has no clue what he is doing. I will be really suprised if the girls win 7 games this year.
